TheAutoScout.com was founded in 2004 in central Illinois. We are a site offering complete used car inventories from various dealerships in the area. We are striving to change the way you shop for a used car. No longer do you need to drive around to many different dealers, looking for that perfect car - we will bring them to you.

The inspiration for this site occurred while searching for a used car. We found that we had two choices. One, drive around to every dealership and talk to a hundred salesmen, or two, try and find out the dealerships' web site and hope that they had pictures of their cars. Neither one was very appealing. We thought there was a better way. There is - TheAutoScout.com. 

We will do the car searching for you. We plan to have the inventories of most dealers on our site within a few months. So what if we don't have the car you are looking for? That's ok, just tell us what you need and we will send your request out to every dealer. They will  then contact you with their best deal. It is time to let the dealers compete for your business!
